Sri Lanka,[b] historically known as Ceylon,[c] and officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia. Kandy is the second-largest urban area and also the capital of the last native kingdom of Sri Lanka. The most spoken language Sinhala, is spoken by the majority of the population (approximately 17 million). Tamil is also spoken by approximately five million people, making it the second most-spoken language in Sri Lanka.

We were incredibly lucky to have Dammika as our guide. Dammika came highly recommended by our friends who traveled to Srilanka in 2023.

We spent only five days and despite the short time, he managed to create a well-planned itinerary that covered all the must-see spots and top tourist attractions, even we were able to squeeze in an unforgettable safari tour in the last day.

Dammika isn't just a guide who takes you from one place to another. He's a storyteller, sharing fascinating insights about the country’s geography, religions, and history.

He goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable, always striving to get us exactly what we wanted in restaurants, hotels, shops, and even at the airport. He even called us after we left to ensure we boarded our plane without any issues.
